Corporate Challenge
The VRH Corporate Challenge is a new initiative that VRH is launching in February 2012!
We challenge a team of your employees to raise at least £10,000 for VRH in six months. To raise this money, they will be required to develop skills in project management, budgeting, presenting, event planning, team building and PR.
VRH will provide your team members with an external business mentor, who will not only help them to complete the challenge but will provide invaluable skills that can be transferred into their working life.
How does the challenge work?
• You will need to recruit a team of between six and eight people to take on the challenge. Recruits could be your rising stars/emerging leaders, your new graduate training intake or employees from different departments to encourage cross-departmental working
• Once your team is recruited, they will be immediately welcomed by our VRH Corporate Challenge Coordinator, who will be with them every step of the way to offer advice, support and encouragement. They will be given a VRH Challenge pack containing fundraising ideas, materials and a guide to the challenge and they will also be introduced to their external mentor
• Their external mentor will work with them to draw up their business plan on how they will generate the income and they will pitch their plan to a panel of ‘dragons’ – including VRH senior staff and champions within your own business
• Your team will be pitted against other businesses in London and the team that generates the most money will win a money-cannot-buy experience!!
• Each competing team will make an initial donation of £200 at the start of the Challenge. This will be put into a ‘prize pot’ which presented to the team judged to give the best pitch as an initial boost towards their fundraising target!
Why should we take on the challenge?
• The challenge will boost staff morale!
• It is a fun event for all employees to get behind, not just the Challenge team!
• The Challenge provides excellent PR opportunities
• We will give you promotion through our website and social media channels
• The funds raised upon completion of the Challenge would provide one-to-one literacy support for 30 disadvantaged children
